Thursday, Sept 6 Proust Questionaire
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MR. MURPHY
This Friday is the last day to register for the October 7 SAT
What's happening today:
1. Don't forget that your signed criteria sheets are due tomorrow. I'm putting them in for a homework grade of a 100 points.
2. Proust questionaire. You should have started it yesterday in class. Check yesterday's blog for the questions. Send them as an attachment. Again, the e-mail is dmpalond@frontiernet.net.
Due at the end of class.
3. Again, as per noted on the blog yesterday, you have been asked to memorize the First Amendment to the Constitution. Yes, you can do it. This is the only memorization you will have in this class. Why are you being asked to memorize it? It's the key to our rights on religion, speech, right to assembly, petition and press. So please remember that because of the First Amendment you are able to freely kvetch (outside of class-according to the law) about this very short assignment. Quiz tomorrow at the beginning of class. You'll simply write it out.
4. Remember that you have your summer reading assessment next Monday and Tuesday in class.
Several folks were unsure about the question relating to overrated virtues. Here they are as follows: chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness and humility. Their opposities are the seven deadly sins.
